Muarojambi Regency - Sengeti as it's Capital, is one of ten Regenciesin Jambi Provinsi That Buit base on the law number 54, 1999 and Officially stated on october, 12 1999. it is an unfolded area of Batanghari Regency. It Formed form 6 Districts at the begining, then formed one more district and it becomes 7 districts with the number of subdistrict as many as 125 villages and 4 subdistricts. at the present Muarojambi Regency is Very interisting for all because of the stategic location - it is easy to reach, it has potential natural resources, it is an hinterland of jambi city and it is passed by east sumatra roadway.

Muarojambi Regency is one of regencies, in jambi province that is unfolded, base on the law number 54,1999. as geography, it is on 1o51o - 2o 01' south latitude and 103o 15' - 104o 30' east logitude with wide of area is 5.346 KM2 and 10,29% of the total area of Jambi province. Borders :
1. Northern Borders With West Tanjung Jabung Regency And East Tanjung Jabung Regency
2. Southern Borders With South Sumatera Province
3. Western Borders With Batanghari Regency
4. Eastern Border With East Tanjung Jabung Regency

The central of government is in sengeti - 35 km2 from jambi city. It is in Sekernan district - it is passed by East Sumatera Roadway - It is for Bandar Aceh - Medan - Pekanbaru - Jambi - Palembang and Bandar Lampung.

From latitude land of Muarojambi regency are :
0 - 10 metres = 11.80%
11 - 100 metres = 83.70%
101 - 500 meteres = 4.50 %

From the data of rain fall in Muarojambi, Fact there no dry month and all the months are wet so the type of climate is included in type A.
